The "magic bell-curve formula" had the following consequences:

- If you scored 75 or above on the final exam (10 students), your final grade will be 95 or above.

- If you scored between 70 and 75 on the final exam (2 students), your final grade will be between 90 and 95.

- If you scored between 48 and 70 on the final exam (13 students), your final grade will be between 80 and 90, except one student, who got over 90 due to exceptional work (relative to this group of students) prior to the exam. However, this student also got a high 60's mark (close to 70) on the final exam itself.

- If you scored between 30 and 48 on the final exam (4 students), your final grade will be between 70 and 80.

- Only one student scored below 30 on the final exam, and this student will still pass the course due to faculty-wide policies not to assign grades of 47, 48 or 49.
